Fairbanks Area Surface Transportation (FAST) Planning will hold the 4th Annual Winter Maintenance Forum on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 from 5:30-7:00 PM at the Noel Wien Library Auditorium on 1215 Cowles Street. There will be a series of informational presentations from DOT&PF, the City of Fairbanks, the Fairbanks North Star Borough, and other special guests about winter maintenance and what to expect on the roads and around town this winter. The FAST Planning public hearing requirements agree to use the TIP development process to satisfy the public hearing requirements of Section 5307(c). The public notice of public involvement activities and time established for public review and comment on the TIP will satisfy the program-of-projects requirements of the Urbanized Area Formula Program. See 23 C.F.R. Part 450 and 49 C.F.R. Part 613 (specifically Subpart B, “Statewide Transportation Planning,” and Subpart C, “Metropolitan Transportation Planning and Programming”). The public involvement process is described at 23 C.F.R. Section 450.316(b).
