Public Service Announcement

South Cushman Range Closure_1st Notice_March 11, 2022

The FNSB has been awarded an Alaska Department of Fish & Game Hunter Access Grant through the Federal Aid in Wildlife Restoration Program (Pittman-Robertson Act) to revitalize and improve the South Cushman Shooting Range. Here are the details you need to know:

1) The range located at the end of South Cushman will be closed from approximately mid-May 2022 to mid-August 2022.

2) There will be plenty of public notice provided so that people can make other arrangements to practice at other locations in the Borough.

3) There is a lot of information about ADF&G Hunter Access Grant Program and the "In Progress Projects" that can be accessed here: https://www.adfg.alaska.gov/index.cfm?adfg=hunteraccess.inprogressoverview

As we get closer to the construction start date and the official closure date, more information will be shared on the Borough website www.fnsb.gov and on social media.

The Fairbanks North Star Borough Administration and Parks and Recreation Department would like to thank the Alaska Department of Fish & Game and the Wildlife Restoration Program for their dedication to improve public use, hunter education and management of shooting ranges across the state.
